Well, I promised Xa I would update if she did. And even though I think I do my best blogging round about 2 am, I'm hopeful that I can get to bed before then tonight. So I'd better start now.

I finally heard back from my supervisor for summer school. I was starting to worry that I didn't have a job after all, but it seems everything is in order. I don't start for another week though, so I still have a lot of down time in which to get things in order here at home.

I've succeeded in making a huge mess of my room again. For a while, I'd cleared almost everything off the floor and most other surfaces. But once I started unpacking book boxes and came to the realization that I don't have enough shelf space, the chaos quickly spread again. My job for tomorrow is cleaning out desk drawers and organizing paperwork. I've left the worst for last, I'm afraid. I did make it out to Wal-mart this evening to buy a new (very cheap) bookshelf. With that addition, not much else will fit in this room I think. But the books are most important. Problem is I've read them all already. As I told Dustin, one of these days I'm gonna go on Amazon and completely destroy my checking account. And I'll have fun doing it.

I had a wonderful time yesterday at Ikea and the mall with Dustin and Jenny and her friend Sarah. I don't think I've ever driven from parking lot to parking lot so many times in one day, but it gave me a chance to practice on the new clutch. I think my two most favorite stores in the world are Ikea and Barnes and Noble. Dustin tells me I may be the only person in the world to actually sit down on the floor in order to peruse the European history section in the bookstore.

I wonder what classes I'll be tutoring next week. It just occurred to me that I don't know yet.

Well, this is fast degenerating into randomness. I can't think of anything earth-shattering that I've left out. Then again, I'm not thinking very hard, so if any additional topics of interest pop into my head before I fall asleep, I'll be sure to add them in.

For now, however, I'll say goodnight!
