I've been up since 6:30. I could use a nap. But regardless of that fact, I have had an exceptionally good morning. I spent my first 2 hours at Allamakee High School in Waukon this morning. I had to be there at 8 to get shown around, and meet the principal and my cooperating teacher, whom I really like. He's really friendly, introduced me to every teacher we met in the hallway, and immediately started thinking of ways I could participate in his classes. He even invited me to observe parent-teacher conferences, which are next week. I think I'll do it if I can get my schedule to work. They don't have school this Friday, so I don't go again until next Monday, but it'll give me a chance to work on some things, now that I know where the kids are in the class.
Meanwhile, my Woodrow Wilson paper is shaping up to be a real pain, not because I'm having trouble with it, but simply because I don't want to start. I don't want to do it at all. I'd rather do other things.
I have a unit plan proposal due tomorrow night for class as well. I think I have everything ready to go, except I haven't actually written it yet. It's there though... in my head. Somewhere...
I'll get to that later. Now I have to go to class. I'd skip it, but that would make me a slacker, and besides, I have to rendezvous with Ashlee and Dustin outside the Ed office. They would be upset if I didn't show up. So, class it is.
